Palestinians Demand Prisoners' Release 
Dozens of Palestinians demonstrated in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Friday, February 18, 2005, calling for release of Palestinian prisoners while holding pictures of their relatives. Israel has announced it will soon release 500 prisoners from among the roughly eight thousand Palestinians currently held in Israeli prisons. Israel published on Wednesday the names of 500 Palestinian prisoners slated for release. None of the prisoners had been found guilty of attacks that killed or injured Israelis.
