CLAMART,
November 7 (IslamOnline.net) – Anti-Zionism Jews pray for the
recovery of ailing Palestinian President Yasser Arafat who is a symbol
of national liberation struggles not only for the Palestinians but
also for world peoples, said a leading Jewish rabbi.
Arafat
is not just a political leader of the Palestinian people but a symbol
for all peoples struggling for national liberation, Rabbi Yisrael
David Weiss, spokesman of the Jewish Neturei
Karta movement, told IslamOnline.net, with a
Palestinian flag hanging on the wall.
He
added that the veteran leader is the champion of the Palestinian cause
in the battle against the colonialist conspiracy of Zionism which
targets, not only Arabs and Muslims, but also Judaism.
Weiss,
a Talmud instructor, distanced God-fearing Jews who follow the true
teachings of Judaism from Zionist schemes.
Wearing
his black suit and cap, the renowned rabbi arrived in Paris on Friday,
November 5, to visit the ailing Palestinian leader in the French
military hospital of Piercy.
Failing
to meet Arafat, at his doctors’ orders, Weiss placed a bouquet of
flowers at the entrance of the hospital.
He
chatted with the imam of the Clamart mosque who also came to show
solidarity with the Palestinian president.
The
health department of the French armed forces said Saturday, November
6, that Arafat's condition has
not changed one way or other since a health bulletin
was issued Friday.
Arafat
arrived
in France Friday, October 29, to receive treatment at
Percy military hospital, southwestern Paris suburb of Clamart.

Struggle
Weiss,
a distinguished speaker and lecturer on Zionism who hails from
Austrian origins, said the Palestinian people would not give up their
struggle to regain their legitimate rights even after Arafat's death.
He
voiced support for the burial of the Palestinian veteran leader in
Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), which is vehemently opposed by Israel.
He
said Jews pray for Arafat to recover but hope the Palestinians would
be able to bury him in Al-Quds as he wishes if he passes away.
Rabbi
Weiss stressed that even if Israel refuses to allow Arafat’s burial
in Al-Quds he would be moved to the holy city after its liberation.
He
heaped blame at Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon for Arafat’s
deteriorating health condition.
Acting
on personal orders from Sharon, Israeli occupation forces have
confined Arafat to his Ramallah headquarters for more than three
years.
The
Jewish rabbi dismissed the besiege as a clear demonstration of Zionism
brutality, which runs counter to the tenets of Torah.
He
described Sharon as a Zionist criminal who has not only stolen
Palestinian lands, but also hijacked Judaism and is leading Jews
toward destruction.
Rabbi
Weiss said followers of Islam and Judaism are hailing from one
grandfather; Prophet Ibrahim.
He
stressed that Islam and Judaism must mobilize efforts to achieve the
one and same goal of battling Zionism.
Neturei
Karta is an anti-Zionist organization within the Orthodox Jewish
community which is dedicated to representing the hundreds of thousands
of Orthodox Jews around the world.
The
New York-based movement believes that only the establishment of an
independent Palestinian state and
removal
of Israel would bring peace to the Middle East.
